Positioned within a significant landscape of redgums and watercourse the new residence presents, at first glance, a simple yet contemporary response to a traditional residential form. Considerable care has been taken with the proportions and massing of the sections of brickwork and glass with particular attention given to how the edges of the roof and thresholds are resolved.

Rebated slab edges float the structure over the sloping site with technique repeated at the entry and internally to provide subtle separation of materials as can be seen in the entry image.
